Silcock Comprehensive Skill Analysis: The Ultimate Guide to the Ice Assassin
After a long wait, Silcock, the new character in Genshin Impact version 5.7, is finally about to debut! As an ice element claymore character, her skill set is a perfect blend of icy coldness and DEADLY force. Today, let’s take a closer look at the skills of this Ice Assassin and experience how she tears through enemy defenses with her icy sword.
First, let’s get to know this ice element character who is about to arrive. Silcock is a 5-star claymore character with an elemental type of ice. Her base stat is Critical Damage +38.4%, which means she will be a highly explosive DPS character, especially capable of playing a more powerful role in team coordination.
Silcock’s exclusive weapon is called “Hakusan”, which has a base attack of 608 and a base critical rate of 33.1%. The exclusive effect of this weapon, “The Blessings of Hakusan,” is incredibly strong: after using an Elemental Skill, within 12 seconds, the attack is increased by 24%. If Silcock’s Elemental Energy is 0 at this time, the attack will be further increased by 24%, and the critical damage will be increased by 40%. For a DPS character, this is an extremely tempting buff effect.
Next, let’s delve into a detailed analysis of Silcock’s skills.
Normal Attack: Gekido – Dan
Silcock’s normal attack consists of up to five consecutive strikes. However, the focus is not on the normal attacks themselves, but on her powerful charged attack and plunging attack. The charged attack consumes stamina and throws a spinning ice spear, dealing damage to enemies in front. The plunging attack is even more impressive: Silcock descends from the air, striking enemies along the path and dealing area-of-effect damage upon landing. This plunging attack is like an icy thunderbolt on the ground, making it impossible to dodge.
Elemental Skill: Gekido – Sen
This is a very interesting skill. When tapped, Silcock gains 45 points of Snake’s Cunning and switches to the Shichirin Issen mode. When held, Silcock also gains 45 points of Snake’s Cunning but enters a state of continuous rapid movement. During this time, her resistance to interruption is greatly increased, and she can control the direction of movement. Additionally, she can end the rapid movement state early by reactivating the skill. This skill is a perfect combination of practicality and fun.
Elemental Burst: Gekido – Metsu
This is Silcock’s signature move. Her Elemental Burst does not rely on Elemental Energy but on Snake’s Cunning. When Snake’s Cunning reaches 50 points, she can unleash her Elemental Burst, tearing through the space in front of her with rapid slashes and dealing ice element area-of-effect damage. Furthermore, any Snake’s Cunning beyond 50 points will further increase the damage, up to an additional 12 points. In other words, the more Snake’s Cunning stored, the higher the damage of the Elemental Burst.
If Silcock is in the Shichirin Issen mode, the Elemental Burst will be replaced by “Gekido – Jin.” This is a special Elemental Burst that does not consume Snake’s Cunning. When activated, Silcock gains the “Choujin” effect, which lasts until the Shichirin Issen mode ends. During this time, the damage of her normal attacks is continuously increased, and further damage is added based on the number of Virtual Realm fissures absorbed. The effect can be triggered up to 10 times before it is removed.
Fixed Skills
Ri no Ri (Principle Beyond)
This skill can be considered the core of Silcock’s team play. When a character in the party triggers a Freeze, Superconduct, Ice Element Spread, or Ice Element Crystallization reaction, a Virtual Realm orb will be created near the enemy.
